Femme Friday Faves / November 3. 2017
It's November. How is it November? At the risk of sounding completely ancient, the phrase "the days are long but the years are short" is so crazy true! How has this year passed 10 months by already? And is Raegan old enough and big enough to be wearing a size 5? And how have I not done more with all that time? I like to think that I'm decent at keeping myself in the moment, or at least I'm aware that it's a thing. I succeed sometimes but also fail hard at it often. I have moments at the end of some days when I think back over the day and it just feels blurry. I hate that feeling and I want less of the feeling.
Onto the most magical part of our week... we're in Disney World. I've been once before but barely remembered it and it's the first time for Trey, Raegan and Vance. To be honest, I was a skeptic at all the 'magic' talk of experiencing Disney World. However, I have to admit I was abundantly wrong. It's really is "The Happiest Place On Earth". We're currently in the middle of our trip so I will share more of our experience later but just know, it's as magical as everyone puts on.
We're prepping for our Wellness Workshop coming up on December 9th. We have partnered with amazing, local (Cincinnati) business and all I can say is it's going to be such a blast. We have great coffee brewing if you will. ;) Also, the swag bags..... insane. We're about half way full so you can still get your ticket here.
Onto my faves right now:
I signed up for a subscription to Lola this summer and have been so grateful I did several times. As I was packing up my suitcase for Orlando this week, I was anticipating my period and needed to pack tampons for the trip. It was ultra convenient to have a stock ready to toss into my bag. They're 100% organic and are made with just one ingredient.. organic cotton. I've used other organic tampons but truthfully they haven't really compared to the Lola brand I have come to love so much. Plus, it was created and is run by two BA women bosses.
On a completely different note, I've been giving some thought to the Thanksgiving dishes I want to prepare this year. Raegan and I always work on something together. She loves getting in on the cooking and prepping with me and that makes it even more fun. I like to try something new and I'm feeling totally inspired by Jessie of Faring Well. Between the Roasted Acorn Squash with Chestnut Sauté and the Mini Pumpkin Pies on a Spelt Crust.... I'm feeling so festive already.
My last faves are some new (to me) places in Cincinnati I plan to visit on our trip home in December. First, the Handzy Shop and Studio. They have the brightest, most cheery stationary + gifts that I can't wait to get my handz on. ;)
Next, I absolutely plan on popping into the Brown Bear Bakery for my very own "thoughtfully made pastry".
Lastly, I refuse to leave Cincinnati again without dropping into Fern. And while this store isn't new to the city, it will be new to me. I fully plan on getting my plant overdose on.
That's me for now. Hope you have a beautiful weekend friends.
